Oops, and stuff…

I added a new plugin that lets me jump on the tag bandwagon. Tags, for the uninitiated, are like little dynamic, fluid categories that allow users to specify multiple keywords that apply to an entry, instead of managing several confined, broad categories. I could talk about a new restuarant and the tags could be: Rigatony’s, Italian, restaurant, review, etc. Now, using Tagyu.com, this plugin will even suggest tags based on how often other people use and search for tags and based around the content of my entry.

If the internet has shown us one thing, it’s that massive collaborative efforts of people tend to deliver quality content in a self-moderating, self-adjusting environment. (See: Wikipedia)

Either way, our recent upgrade to PHP 5 hurt our feelings and our include_paths, so that if you happened to use:
include once ('file.php');
…then you’d be in trouble, because it’s not the full path, ala $_SERVER['document_root'] or a URL.

So it started to throw up a lot, and the plugin couldn’t be gracefully removed without me tweaking a lot in the database and hacking files. I figure, I’ll wait a few weeks before I completely destory my WordPress installation, right?

Anyway, I had Bob fix the include_path problem for this domain, and now I have wonderful tagging capabilities.
